dizygotic twins

The dizygotic twins - Nonidentical twins, also called fraternal twins. Dizygotic twins are the result of the simultaneous fertilization of two egg cells (ovum). They each have a placenta of their own and may be of different sexes. (See also monozygotic twins.)
