The Chancroid - A sexually transmitted disease, found mainly in the tropics, characterized by painful ulcers on the genitals and enlarged lymph nodes in the groin.
The disorder is caused by the bacterium HAEMOPHILUS DUCREYI. Prompt treatment with antibiotic drugs is usually effective.
